This is the minimum driver education requirement set by Alberta Transportation to receive a certificate.

This program consists of 15 hours of online learning knowledge and 14 hours of Behind-the-Wheel training.( 7 lessons, 2 hours each ). Upon successful completion of this course, that is 75% in-vehicle instruction and 80% online, the certificate will help reduce the driver's insurance rates. With this program, students have at lease 2 attempts to pass their road test using the company car (2nd hr of lesson 6 or 7) at no additional charge. (cost of road test not included). Please make arrangements with the company for the use of the car.
OPTIONAL; If the student passes the road test on lesson 6, he may do lesson 7 with the Dodge Challenger vehicle for an additional $40.

Disabled Driver Instructor Specialist (DDIS), Nelson is a qualified instructor with 45 years as a professional commercial driver, collision fault free with over 4 million km driven in Calgary. Nelson joined a driving school in 2014 as an instructor and assistant manager to later form First Alberta Driver Safety, Okotoks and South Trail driving schools. Nelson is accredited and certified through Canadian Traffic Education Centre as a collision investigator. Assessor and trainee instructor with adaptive equipment.
Nelson's schedule is Saturday and Sunday's.
1 pm and 3:30 pm.

With having professional and extensive highway experience in all seasons, and challenging conditions, I have logged thousands of inner-city driving hours transporting some of the most precious cargo, children.
Being a family man, I appreciate being entrusted with the responsibility of teaching drivers not only how to drive safely, courteously and proactively but why it is important to build these skills.

With a lifelong background in instruction, initially in music, Audra seamlessly transitioned into the role of driving instructor. Specializing in safety, road test preparation and readiness, she is known for her friendly demeanor, patience, and ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

Tom Muzyka
Tom Muzyka , a certified Alberta Transportation Instructor, has over 37 years’ experience driving and is fully qualified as a Class 5 instructor. He has formal commercial vehicle training and experience including Class 1 Semi Trucks, Class 2 Motorcoach Bus and School Bus training as well as Class 6 Motorcycles. He has held several different leadership roles in IT and has had formal training in leadership as well as facilitation and technical training. Tom likes to create a relaxed learning environment with his students and enjoys seeing his students develop their driving skills. Tom’s #1 goal is to help people become safe, courteous and knowledgeable drivers who can comfortably pass their driver’s exam… the first time!
