In-classroom 15 hrs theory or online 15 hrs theory.

The minimum driver education requirement set by Alberta Transportation to receive a course completion certificate, consists of 15 hours of in-classroom theory or 15 hrs of Online theory training which includes the final in-class test with an 80% pass mark. Classroom dates, time and location will be indicated in an email. If you should happen to miss a class or a portion of a classroom theory, you may make up the time in a future classroom the following month at no extra charge.
The passing mark for the final in-classroom 15 hrs theory is 80%. If you do not pass the exam on your first attempt, it may be re-written at a later date. The passing mark for the 15 hrs online theory exam is 80%. You have 3 attempts to redo the final exam.

On-road training

IMPORTANT information before booking your first on-road session:
. You must have your beginners' class 7 license or higher.
. Your course must be paid in full.
. Lessons are held with one student only. Door-to-Door service.
. All lessons are Video and Audio recorded.
All mobile devices must be powered off before entering the classroom or
in-vehicle training.
To get a course completion certificate, a student must obtain 80% or above for in-classroom lesson or Online course and 75% or above for the in-vehicle training.

Okotoks-South Trail Driving Schools reserve the right to cancel road lessons and not issue a course completion certificate if the above conditions are not met.
The student must present his driver permit to the instructor. If
for any reason, the student cannot produce his driver permit
prior to the on road training, a $69 cancellation fee will be applied.
Bronze package: If the student requested our vehicle to use for the road test,
which is approximately 45 minutes in duration, a fee of $80 will be charged.
Silver and Gold packages: Road test using our vehicle at no additional charge. Please make arrangements with the office for the use of the vehicle.
Please Note: On-line course must be completed within 3 months from the start of the course. In-vehicle training sessions must be commenced within 2 months of completion of the online course or in-class sessions. The road lessons must be completed 1 year from the date of registration.

Policy on cancellations (no show)

In the event that you cannot keep your scheduled on-road appointment, you must advise the instructor or Okotoks-South Trail Driving School 24 hours prior to the appointment. Any change to an on-road appointment or meeting point must be arranged 24-48 hours prior to scheduled on road session. Requests to change an on-road session with less than 24 hours' notice cannot be guaranteed. However, we will do our best to accommodate your request. If you should fail to advise us of your cancellation or do not show up for your scheduled appointment, a cancellation fee of $69 will be administered. It is the instructor's responsibility to remain at the meeting point for 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment after which the on-road session is considered as a no show. Once the cancellation fee is paid the missed session may be replaced.

Refund Policy

No refund will be returned after any part of the course (Classroom, Online or in- Vehicle) has been started or if the client decides to opt out. Refund will be returned only if no part of the program has been used or started minus a 5% transaction fee plus a $40 admin fee.
You will receive a reminder 24 hrs prior to your next scheduled on-road session. If you are unable to keep your appointment, you may reschedule for a later date according to your instructors availability.
Your instructor may cancel or re-schedule your on-road session within 24 hrs of your appointement due to illness, personal emergency, weather or road conditions or unexpected mechanical issues with the vehicle. Additional on-road training sessions to improve your driving skills are available.
Additional Fees
A fee of $45 will be charge for an NSF cheque. Class handbooks cost $9 each.

Privacy Policy

Okotoks-South Trail Driving Schools respects the confidentiality of its customer's personal information. Information regarding a customer's driver license and course records may be provided to appropriate government agencies (Alberta Drivers program) for certification purposes. By providing information, you have consented to these terms and conditions. We do not share your personal information with anyone without your consent at any time unless we are required by law to do so. In such case, we will release personal information only to the extent required.
