ADAPTIVE EQUIPMENT PROGRAMS

South Trail Driving School strives to guarantee the very best quality of driver training education to students with physical disabilities to insure they become safe and responsible drivers.

Since January 2023, we suggest students do about 2-3 hrs of extra homework. Links will be sent for the following homework :

*Must have the Q & A completed and submitted by lesson 1

*Road Rage management

*The psychology of driving

*View two videos

165 multiple choice questions from Alberta Transportation question bank.

Students will be quizzed by the instructor.

Driver assessment

Minimum 2 hrs. $240 + GST = $252

In some cases, the Alberta Driver Fitness and Monitoring (DF&M) Letter of conditions must be submitted to South Trail Driving School.

PROGRAM

#1. New driver course completion certificate; minimum requirement set by the Alberta Transportation, 10 hours, $975 + GST = $1023.75

15 hours online novice course for insurance reduction, $70 + GST = $73.50

Car rental for road test: $85 + GST= $89.25 (Optional)

Total: $1186.65

Upon successful completion of the 15 hrs online course with a 80% pass and a 75% pass for the in-vehicle, the insurance reduction certificate will be mailed to your registered address within 4 weeks from the date of the IN-CAR and ON-LINE/IN-CLASS course completion. (Training hours and performance must meet standards for certificate eligibility.)

#2. Non GDL course completion certificate: 6 hours $600 + GST = $630

15 hours online novice course for insurance reduction, $70 + GST = $73.50.

Total: $703.50

#3 Two hour lesson, $200 + GST = $210

#4. Two hour lesson and car rental for road test.

$289.25 + GST = $303.70

Door-to-door service.

All lessons are video, audio and AI-telematics recorded.

Service is provided with a 2021 Toyota Rav4 Limited. Student will have to transfer, if required.

We service Calgary, Airdrie and Okotoks. A fee for travelling to other areas than these will be charged $84 per hour + GST = $88.20

The wireless spinner knobs are a great choice with it's six different button layouts, signals, dimmer, horn, front wiper and windshield fluid. The spinner knob allows for a grip with the palm area, requiring only a finger movement to reach the secondary controls. This is a question of safety without releasing the steering wheel.
